Behind the Scenes

Inspiration

Zoey's Creative Process

I started writing at the young age of eleven years old, in the year 1999, when I move to Grafton.

And I know what got me inspired into the writing field.

I'll make a long story short.

I remember I got inspired by a hit TV show Goosebumps by R.L. Stine.

I have many books by him including It Came from Ohio:

an autobiography book about his life as a young writer of many joke books, the "Bananas magazine series," and working as a writer for Eureeka's Castle.

That inspired me into writing poems and my own stories.

I've published three poems for People's First Wisconsin.

I've appeared on a book called See our Abilities, which included a quote from my poem Broken Man.

I also published my poem Broken Man on The Catholic Herald.

Through Group Workcamp's variety show, I auditioned, and was one of the few chosen to perform.

The youth director received quite a few emails asking for copies of my poems

"My Thoughts of Love" and "What is Perfect?"

I've published my book of poems Hope for my Future: Thoughts on Life with Down Syndrome.

writer's Reflection

I am proud that people enjoy my poems and my writing.

I do not know if I choose poetry as my only genre. There are many great genres out there in the writing field, but I choose poetry for a start.

I've read over 100 books, and I still do not know what to choose:

mystery, suspense, love and romance, sci-fi, or adventure?

I would like to experiment and let my readers decide.
